These specialized service dogs require intense training and testing prior to being deployed to the job. In addition there are dogs who assist the blind and other handicap individuals, Search and rescue dogs, cadaver recovery dogs and hunting dogs just to name a few. Each of these service dogs requires special training to meet the needs of the agencies that are going to depend on them. In addition the dog handlers will also have to be trained in order to most effectively employ the dog in its specialized field of work. You will find that this career in dog training to be challenging and very rewarding.
